Orissa Marine Resource Conservation Consortium promotes and facilitates collaborative sea turtle and fishery resource conservation in Orissa. We explore alternate livelihood options for the fisher folk to gear up community-based conservation and sustainable fisheries in Orissa.
OMRCC advocates against polluting activities and environmentally unsustainable development practices in the coastal areas of Orissa by educating different stakeholders including government agencies to reduce and prevent the over-exploitation of  Orissa’s marine resources. We also develop conflict management mechanisms for sea turtle conservation, sustainable fisheries and food security of traditional fishers.
