Ecologistas en Acción is a grassroots Spanish environmental federation. Ecologistas are part of the so-called social environmentalism that considers both environmental and social problems stemming from a pattern of increasingly globalised production and consumption. Therefore, besides organizing initiatives in many Spanish Regions on “traditional” environmental issues (energy, water, wastes, nature conservation, transport and urbanism, seas and coasts, GMOs and so on) they also deal with issues with a socio-economic dimension such as globalisation, pacifism and solidarity.
